Jeff Kitterman is an award winning Midwest and regional artist with a passion for pen and ink biological illustration. He has enjoyed his avocation since the late 70’s when he initially studied biological illustration at the University of Northern Iowa. In the years that followed he used drawing as a teaching tool as a high school biology teacher in Iowa. Moving to Minnesota in the 80’s, Jeff continued to refine his interest in the craft as an avid conservationist, bow hunter and nature observer.
Jeff cites his primary influences as Andrew Wyeth, Winslow Homer, and Francis Lee Jaques. Jeff maintains a studio in the rural Sandstone, MN area close to Grindstone Lake.
